Grand County, Utah is now accepting sealed bids for construction of two shade structures at the Sand Flats Recreation Area. Bid documents with construction drawings are available below under Related Documents.
A mandatory Pre-Bid meeting for all interested bidders will be held at the site on Tuesday, October 24th at 1 pm.
All sealed bids must be turned in to the Grand County Clerk/Auditor by 5 pm on November 1st, 2017 at 125 East Center Street, Moab, Utah 84532. Bids shall be mailed or delivered to Diana Carroll, Grand County Clerk/Auditor, 125 E. Center, Moab, Utah 84532. No faxes or email bids will accepted. Bids should be marked clearly “Bid–Sand Flats Shade Structures” on the outside of the envelope. Grand County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality of any bid, and to select the bid in which provides to the best product and services to Grand County.
The work to be accomplished under this proposed contract includes:
Construction of two, 168 square foot (each) shade structures of post and beam construction with metal roof built as per contract drawings and including staining of all wood. Shade structures are to be built in Sand Flats Recreation Area group campsites E-1 and E-10 in campground loop E, located approximately 2 miles from the Sand Flats entrance station.
The contract award will be issued on or about November 10, 2017, with notice to proceed given about November 13, 2017. Project completion will be mandatory by December 31, 2017. The selected contract must be an equal opportunity employer and comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws.
